The group of children from Northbrook primary School in Leyland worked with professional artists Becky Atherton to explore healthy eating and the implications it has on health and wellbeing.
The school and community members worked to enable the group to explore how eating can lead into becoming healthier and more active citizens, how they too could become Olympic athletes.
This was achieved by enabling the group to explore the issues while designing and making large mosaic Olympic athletes inlaid with images of healthy food.
The finished work is exhibited in a central location at the school , raising the awareness of the befits of healthy eating and celebrating the 2012 Olympics.
